Via Darren Barefoot’s site we find a link to an incredible shot. I too played something similar to basketball tonight. The team we played in intramural rec league was not incredibly coordinated and their defensive strategy consisted of a lot of shoving. There was a moment in the game where I got pretty ticked off at this player who kept laying on the cheap shots. Finally I resorted to animal instincts, threw an elbow his direction with a “mildly worded” caution to refrain from further harassment. Moments later a teammate of mine performed an incredible acrobatic crash to avoid the corner of the sideline stands literally sliding 15 feet across the front row on his back/side before stopping. Later on I sustained a few minor injuries (boo hoo hoo) while sliding across the gym floor into the wall behind the basket. The bleeding stopped by games end. I promised earlier to report a score but I couldn’t make out the chalkboard without my glasses and feeling under the weather simply left knowing we were victorious.
