Halloween 2012

We definitely had a wonderful Halloween this year! The kids were so excited to break out their costumes and this was a monumental year for Lola, who totally “got it” and wanted to trick-or-treat till her feet were tired.

Costumes this year:
Joshua was a Skeleton
Brigs was a Pokemon Trainer (I was SO proud, he made his whole costume 100% by himself!!)
Noah was Optimus Prime Transformer
and Lola was a very frilly Snow White

Of course, Dylan was with us too! He LOVES Halloween and he dressed as a Zombie a few days earlier for his Young Adult Halloween Dance.

Additionally, my sweet dentist/husband wore his Angry Bird costume to work and made his patients crack up! Love him!

Activities for Halloween included:
- a fun Homeschool group party with pumpkin carving, games, treats and cupcake decorating
- Trunk-or-Treat at our church (it was AWESOME this year!!!)
- Trick-or-Treating in the community (so many great houses this year)
- a fun stop to see our friends Colleen and Richard who hoped we’d bring the kids by and had cupcakes, toys, halloween Lego, full size chocolate bars etc.!
- The huge bonfire at the Deep Cove Fire Dept, and Fireworks!
- and Finally we had a fun family Hot Tub Dunk to end the night!!

Happy Halloween 2009

IMG_6625 This year we had a pretty low-key Halloween since Brigs exhibited flu symptoms earlier this week, we mostly hung out at home. They did get dressed and had candy, along with a family party – we watched The Wizard of Oz!!

Noah was his hero Buzz Lightyear, Brigs dressed in his “dream costume” as Sonic The Hedgehog (I ordered it to be specially made for him), and Joshy couldn’t decide until the day before that he wanted to be an Evil Wizard. Well as it turns out Joshua doesn’t like face paint, he wanted “his own face” for his costume. LOL! I thought they were pretty stinkin’ cute.

Happy Halloween to all of you – I hope it was safe and full of fun!

We had a Happy Halloween

Halloween was such a blast this year. The kids were so excited for the big day to arrive, it’s always such fun to see what everyone dresses up as. For my boys it was the year of the Super Hero! Dylan dressed as Fred Flinstone, Joshua was Movie Batman, Brigs was Original TV Batman, and Noah transformed into Spiderman with the help of his big brothers. We originally thought he would go as a dragon, but once he saw Joshy and Brigs only a superhero would do!!

Dylan came home from school on Friday and asked if he could decorate the house outside. We had a blast turning the front porch into something Halloween Special. Covered in cobwebs, spiders, ghosts, bats, a fog machine, laser and strobe lights. It was a little work of art! People were driving by and slowing down to have a peek so the kids were pretty excited to have such a cool looking house. This year the weather was so warm and pleasant, we needed no jackets! YAY!!

In the end the boys got way too much candy, but they feel asleep with big smiles. What more could a Mommy want?!

Attached are a few links to some short video clips from our Halloween. I hope yours was just a magical and fun!
