Let There Be Light!

March 3, 2008

The small home improvements are continuing at our house these days. We ordered these gorgeous new lights from an amazing store in town, to replace the old “boob” lights (that’s what they looked like) at our front and back entry’s.

We also special ordered a new light for above our kitchen table that I can’t wait to share – it’s still winging it’s way to us. Once it arrives I’ll be sure to post a picture, we’re really in love with it. As for these cute square lights, they have a gorgeous glow and are bright enough to be very functional at the doorways. So fun!

I’ve added some of my favorite tunes while I’m in the “creative process” in my blog sidebar (don’t worry they won’t start automatically to signal you surfing at work!). Simply click Play and enjoy some of the tunes I’m listening to these days. If you have a great suggestion for me to add to my playlist be sure to leave a comment and share the song you think I’d like :)

Jumping Off Point

March 2, 2008

Isn’t it funny how one small thing can start to snowball you into new ideas and changes? Just recently we picked out new curtains for our front room and also for our dinning room. We were craving color and surprised ourselves in choosing these gorgeous Orange Damask curtains. I hadn’t thought “orange” before, but once Nathan and I saw them we couldn’t walk away. We then discovered the most beautiful Finials for our curtain rods, I love their artsy feel!

This one small change in our home is spurring tons of creative thought, big dreams for how we’d like to update a few things, and it just makes you feel good. I had to share.
