Giving Brangelina A Run For Their Money!
I can’t hold it in any longer, I’m going to burst! No I don’t need to pee, I need to share. OK I admit that I have a tendancy to get obsessed with new and creative things. I am totally head over heels in downright old fashioned L O V E with Digital scrapbooking. I can’t share my pages with you right now as some of them are TOP SECRET - shhhhhh! But I can tell you that this medium of creative art is right up my alley and I love it. Basically you just do everything with photoshop which I already have a good handle on. Did you know that there are free kits out there on the internet that you can just download and pop your pics into, add some text, print and voila!! Scrapbook page ala fast, cheaper and not bulky. You can get the “look” of bulky pages but fit way more of them in your albums. I’m scrapping 8×8 pages as I can crop them down and print them off on my own home computer and the size is actually awesome not too big and it’s still the trendy square as opposed to the traditional 8 1/2 x 11. You don’t need photo paper, you can even use Georgia-Pacific white cardstock for a matte looking page (walmart $5.99 for 500 sheets!) ROCKIN’. So get out there, buy Photoshop and learn how to use it cuz the wave in scrapbooking is shifting to digital - I’m so excited I can hardly stand it!

Hey, new to your blog. About the scrapbooking, do you have to have a super high-quality printer
and don’t you go through your color cartridges super fast?

Okay, GREAT! AnOTHER new thing I have to learn! Agh! I may never catch up. On a brighter note, I did reset the clock in my car today
. VERY proud of that! It is really surprising what you can learn from the car manual, and it only took me 6- well, er, 10, tries to get it to work.
Seriously, I hope you are doing at least somethign that you can share with me when we get there, or I may die of sheer curiosity!
countin’ the days….
Love

Question: Where are the free kits on the internet? Can you share the URLs?
Thank you!

Sylvia, you would be suprised at the quality you can get at home. I’m told by several people who have been doing this for awhile that it’s not that hard on your ink situation - we’ll see I’m testing that theory but you can always go and get cheap prints at Costco, Walmart etc. and have them print it on cardstock if you prefer it over glossy photo paper.

Well, that is very cool. And this may make scrapbooking accessible for those of us who didn’t have the coordination to tackle the paper version!

Well, as the administrator of a successful digital scrapbooking store I must say that digital scrapbooking is well on it’s way to becoming as popular as the traditional methods. It is faster, cheaper and not near a messy. Drop by our store and see wha you think of the great kits, elements, papers and other goodies our designers have created.
