I’m an idiot. Guess what I did earlier today?? I was in the bathroom tidying up (yes I occasionally have “skills”) and I was super thirsty. I turn on the faucet and lean in for a
big swig of cool refreshing……..BOILING HOT WATER!! Ouch! I didn’t look at the tap I was turning on and scalded my tongue. Um…ya, feeling so lame now.
one time when i was in my teens ( yes, already a teenager )i put my finger to the cigarette deal in the car and spent the whole day after that with an aloe vera plant stuck to my thumb…in school. And why did i do that? Oh, no reason!!!! M
I remember my sister had to put her fingers everywhere when she was about seven. One time she sharpened it in a pencil sharpener and later said it was “because she hadn’t had a pencil just now”.
But this water thingie has happened to me several times. Luckily only with warm or nearly hot water, never scalding hot. It’s still unpleasant if you expect cold, refreshing water and suddenly take a lukewarm swig…

My most recent experience with very hot water was at Walmart last week… I’m in the bathroom thinking, boy this toilet seat is very warm… holy crap there was steaming hot water in the bowl! Good thing I didn’t fall in, I’d have never walked again.
OMG! I did that yesterday! I actually looked around to see if anyone had seem me because I felt so stupid. I am so glad I am not alone in the world!
