This was just hysterical. Dylan and I walked into the mall to pick up a parcel from the post office. On our way out Dylan says “WOW that guy has a COOL outfit!” I look over and there’s this little old man probably in his late 80’s at least. The man had on black pants, a leather jacket and a black Kangols hat - he was walking with a cane. My heart just melted when my son said that about this elderly man. Then he smiles at the gentleman and says “I really like your jacket.”
I think it totally brightened that man’s day to hear something like that from a 10 year old boy. I know it made me feel so lucky and blessed to have such a sweet, caring and non-judemental boy. I’m so glad that he has respect for others and saw past what most of us would see right away, instead of an old man my Dylan saw a really cool guy.
